Trevor Frantantoni, a Junior, Progressing into a College

FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

Press Contact:
Contact@GoMVB.com Bloomfield, NJ: Trevor Frantantoni has followed a natural progression as the starting 6-foot, 180-pound signal-caller for the Bloomfield High School (NJ) Bengals.

He got his reps in as the junior varsity quarterback for Bloomfield as a sophomore in 2021.

As a junior, he progressed enough to become the No. 1 QB for the varsity team this past fall season.

Although Bloomfield, which finished 5-5, focused more on the run and gained close to 2,000 yards on the ground, Frantantoni was asked more to manage the team and he responded by connecting on 29 of 60 passes for 451 yards and six touchdowns with eight interceptions.

But this is a big off-season for Frantantoni, in more ways than one.

It's a chance to get better and stronger by hitting the weight room - which he lists as his favorite hobby - and attend camps and showcases. For one, it will only help the team in 2023, but it will also increase his chances of playing in college.

"He keeps on improving,'' said Bloomfield head coach Mike Carter. "Right now, Trevor can easily play at the D-3 level. But he has such a strong work ethic and wants to get better, I think he could possibly play D-2 football.

"I can't find one bad thing to say about Trevor. He has progressed nicely as our quarterback. Next year, we are looking for him to throw the ball more and we feel he has the ability to lead us. Trevor is a natural leader; he has a tremendous work ethic and comes from a great family.''

Frantantoni, who maintains a 3.8 grade point average, is also a member of the varsity wrestling and baseball teams at Bloomfield. He has run the 40 in just under 4.9. Off the field, he was chosen as an NJSIAA Student Ambassador.

Scouting Report: "Frantantoni is improving by the day. He has shown solid footwork as a pocket passer but is mobile enough to get out of the pocket and turn a broken play or a play with nobody open and turn it into something positive. He is a work in progress who keeps learning the nuances of the position and is far from a project. A quick learner who learns from his mistakes, he is expected to be a complete quarterback his senior year as opposed to a game manager.''
