NJ Hun School Class of 2025 Football Quarterback Jack Moran Ready to Learn in Nation's Top System

June 23, 2022

Hillsborough, NJ: When Jack Moran enrolled at the Hun School to play football, lacrosse, and, of course, work on his academics at the top prep school in the country, he knew there would be competition to play quarterback.

Of course, University of Iowa commit Marco Lainez has one more season under center with the Raiders before going off the college and will be the leading player in the lineup. But that is actually a good thing for Moran: the rising sophomore gets to learn in the best offensive system in the nation, and he will be able to get out of the field in games when Hun is blowing out opponents.

But maybe the best thing for Moran, outside of working with offensive geniuses Todd Smith and Tony Racioppi, is that there’s a whole squad filled with Division 1 players on both sides of the ball – and Moran gets to practice against them every day. It’s a fact: Moran is going to get orders of magnitude better during the summer, and during the fall, at practice against his teammates.

He is already 6’4″, 225 pounds, and will be the next star of Hun. Off the field, Moran is already excelling in the classroom. And like so many players in this program, he will be able to go to an elite university if he wishes.

Here is a scouting report on the QB:

“He is just 15 years old and is already prototypical size for a quarterback. Jack is 6′-4” and 225 pounds. Wait until you see him in a couple of years after he has been in the strength and conditioning program: he is going to be a monster. He can throw the ball down the field, and he gets to learn next to Marco for another year.

“There are a lot of people already excited about what he is going to be able to do when he gets the keys to the offense. You will see him get some snaps this season and be ready to go for the next couple of years.”
