Class of '23 DL/LB Christopher Mozeika Ready to Turn Around Wall's Season

Contact@GoMVB.com Wall, NJ: For so many years, the Wall football program has been one of the top teams in New Jersey’s Shore Conference, and in the NJSIAA sectional tournaments.

But the 2022 campaign has started out much slower than usual for the Scarlet Knights and their new Head Coach Ed Gurrieri.

Class of 2023 DL/LB Christopher Mozeika is trying to ensure that gets turned around in Week 3.

Mozeika has been a stalwart in the lineup for a couple years, and the 6-0, 205-pound linebacker has done his part through the first two games with double digit tackles in each game.

There are other numbers that separate him from players around the state: he has a ridiculous 43.1-inch vertical jump, and combined with his 300-plus pound bench press, shows just what kind of an athlete he is. He can get out and cover tight ends with his speed (4.8 40 time), or rush the passer. 

In the classroom, Mozeika has worked hard to boost his GPA up to a 3.0, and wants to finish strongly in his final year.

Here is a scouting report on Mozeika from a Shore Conference coach:

“First, everyone has heard about that vertical jump. Honestly, that is crazy. Forty-three inches!?!? Wow. You can see how athletic he is when you watch the tape. On one play, he is covering a tight end or a wide receiver and making a play, then on the next series he is in the backfield getting a sack and causing a fumble. Chris can play. I would be interested to see what position he ends up in at college, because I think he could make a good linebacker or safety.”
