Class of 2025 DL/OL Donovan Louis-Jacques Helping Lions Turn Around Program

Contact@GoMVB.com Jackson, NJ: For so long, the Jackson Liberty High School football team has been trying to build a winning program in New Jersey’s tough Shore Conference.

It is not easy though, to break into the elite at the Jersey Shore: there are 48 teams in the massive league.

Class of 2025 OL/DL Donovan Louis-Jacques is hoping to be a part of the team that finishes the season above .500 for the first time in a decade, and possibly make the playoffs as well.

But it is a process, and Louis-Jacques is one of the young building blocks that will look to get it done at some point in the next few seasons.

Right now, Jackson Liberty started the 2022 campaign at 2-3, but there has been progress, and there might be some wins on the horizon thanks to the line play led by Louis-Jacques. He has the intangibles: he is already over 6-0 and weighs 220-plus pounds, and is growing by the day. At just 15-years-old, Louis-Jacques has a lot of time to bulk up more in the weight room, and he is already on the way after a big offseason in the strength and conditioning program.

In the classroom, Louis-Jacques had a 3.2 GPA after his freshman year, which is a good base to pump that up towards a 3.5 in the coming years.

Here is what a Shore Conference coach said about Louis-Jacques after scouting Jackson Liberty for an upcoming game:

“For a sophomore, he is pretty strong. You can tell he is working hard to get stronger. If you looked at him from last year to now, there is a big difference in size, and that should continue. On the field, he does a good job defensively keeping the O-line occupied and allowing the linebackers and safeties to get in on the tackles. 

“On offense, he is up there getting push to help the running game, and he is pretty good at pass protection. He is still a little bit undersized, but that will come with age. Right now, there is a solid player that should only get better.”
