Contact@GoMVB.com Freehold, NJ: After three games of the 2022 NJSIAA high school football season, Freehold Township is 1-2.

But there is a chance the Patriots could turn that around pretty quickly with the offensive weapons at their disposal, and junior WR Nick Carnevale is one of the pieces QB Mark Augello has at his disposal.

Carnevale had a big sophomore campaign with three interceptions and three touchdown receptions and is hoping to better those numbers in the next couple months, hopefully as the Patriots make a deep run in the playoffs.

Carnevale made the First Team All-Sophomore class for Shore Football Report in 2021, as well as Second Team All-Division, and will look to make an even bigger impression this season.

The 5-10, 160-pound wideout has been clocked at 4.7 second in the 40 (coach timed), and has worked hard in the weight room over the last year to bulk up and get faster.

There is no one, though, in the classroom that outworks Carnevale: he has a 4.9 GPA and posted an 1160 PSAT as a sophomore, with the expectation that he can bump that score up above a 1300.

Here is what a coach in the Shore Conference said of Carnevale:

“He made some big plays as a defensive back last year in some pivotal spots. He is a good wide out to have, and he is hardly off the field for the Patriots. This could prove to be a big season for Carnevale.”
