2023 Basketball Wizard Tyler Turner Finishes Senior Season with a Bang - Ready to Play at Next Level

2023 basketball wizard Tyler Turner finishes senior season with a bang - Ready to Play at Next Level FOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE

April 2, 2023

Arlington, TX: Tyler Turner knows what it takes to play college basketball. Ever since he was a little kid growing up in Arlington, Texas, his father bought him a ball and began teaching him the finer points of the game.Little did Tyler know at the time, but he was getting trained by a person - Marlon Turner - who played college basketball at Division 1 Colorado State University. "My father taught me the basics of the game,'' said Tyler. "But as I got older and really showed an interest, he taught about what it takes to play on the college level - hard work.'' So that's what he did, four days a week, three to four hours a day in the gym, a regimen which continues today as a 6-foot-3, 170-pound, lightening quick point guard at Mansfield Timberview High School. Ready for varsity at Timberview as a junior, Turner joined a stacked team and served as the sixth man for a Wolves team which won a state championship a year ago. In 2022-23, this was Turner's team. The senior directed a young squad to a 19-14 record by averaging close to 17 points per game with several games in the 20s. Just one glance at his highlight reels and you can see a complete point guard who can shoot it, take it to the hole, distribute it and run the floor with superior body control. But are college coaches overlooking this star athlete? Turner believes he can play in college, on any level and he's got the skill to be a Next Level baller for sure. "Me and my coach have been getting stuff out there,'' said Turner. "I've heard from a few JUCOs, but that's about it.'' "There are still schools out there looking for kids and Tyler is one of those kids,'' said coach Matthew Workman. "Once things settle down and the transfer portal lightens up, there will be opportunities. "The kid has the game. He's super slick, shoots it, passes and takes it to the basket with great body control. He is definitely a college player'.' SCOUTING REPORT: "Turner is somewhat of a magician on the floor with the ball, spinning and dishing with no-look passes and faking our defenders along the way. Turner is the offensive leader and he takes that role seriously, choreographing the offense from beginning to end. He has the complete point guard game, scoring, shooting from 3, passing, court awareness and size.'' To learn more about Turner, please visit his personalized player page here: GoMVB.com/tylerturner. About GoMVB: GoMVB offers personalized digital and social media promotional services specifically for high school prospects aspiring to become next level collegiate athletes.
