St. George's Senior Track and Field Star Antonio Wallace is Ready to Advance to Next Level as a ChampionFOR IMMEDIATE RELEASE May 2, 2023 Contact@GoMVB.com Memphis, TN: Antonio Wallace is fast - and he is not just fast in a sprint (although he is VERY fast in a straight sprint), Wallace can run around turns as well. The Class of 2023 track and field athlete from the St. George’s School has made a huge splash in his four years playing varsity sports for the Gryphons: Wallace was a varsity star on the football and wrestling teams as well, to show you just how athletic he is. But he is crushing it for the St. George’s track team. Wallace will soon be attempting to win more medals at the Tennessee state meet. Last year, he finished fifth in the state in the 400 meters, and Wallace also medaled at other meets in the 100m, 200m, and the long jump. He truly is a point-scoring machine for the Gryphons. It was the same way for Wallace on the wrestling mat and the football field: he scores points no matter the sport. He has big goals ahead of his senior track meets, and hopes to add his name to the Wall of Champions. Here is a list of all his times so far in 2023, as Wallace attempts to finish off his career with more gold medals. As good as Wallace has been in his athletic career, he has also excelled in the classroom, which bodes well for his transition to the next level. Wallace has a 3.2 GPA ahead of his final semester, and that number should rise. Wallace has made a name for himself in Memphis, and wants that name to ring out all over Tennessee in the coming month. His coaches have nothing but praise for the senior: “When you talk to any of Antonio’s coaches in the building, no matter football, wrestling, or track, they all say the same thing: he is the hardest worker out there. Antonio is always striving to get better, and he works so hard to make sure he succeeds. He is a weight room monster: he is always working to get stronger and faster. On the practice field, he is the first one in and the last one out: a lot of coaches will say that, but Antonio truly lives by that mantra. “He has gotten so much better over his four years in high school, and he is the kind of athlete that is going to do the same thing at the next level: constantly strive to improve. Antonio is also a vocal leader, and a leader by example.
