GoMVB HUN Tight End Commits to University of Illinois

SKILLMAN, NEW JERSEY – Owen Anderson, Tight End for the HUN at Princeton recently announced his college commitment to the University of Illinois.

“Everyone at GoMVB would like to wish Owen Anderson the best of luck as he furthers both his athletic and academic careers with Illinois. We know he’s going to do great things at the University of Illinois, and we’ll be rooting for him every step of the way,” said Coach Frank Barone.

Anderson has the size of a TE (6’5", 235 lbs.), the strength of an interior linemen (335 bench / 435 squat) and the athletic ability of a perimeter player. As a first team All-County selection, Owen recorded an outstanding 26.4 yards per catch in 2021 and has averaged 20 plus yards per catch over his HS career. Coupled with the big play pass catching ability, Anderson’s highlights are full of blocks that depict a player that is simply too strong for the opposition with him driving defensive ends and linebackers 10 plus yards downfield.

Anderson received offers from Michigan St, Georgia Tech, Marshall, Old Dominion, Navy, Liberty and Buffalo, as well as Illinois.
